élan tlc are pioneers in the world of transformational leadership and coaching.
What does élan tlc stand for? If you say that someone does something with “élan” you mean that they do it with vitality and in an energetic and confident way which is what we encourage in all of our participants. And yes, “tlc” means “tender, loving, care” which is how we like to deliver our coaching. However, that care is dispensed with a ruthless compassion designed to help you achieve your goals— whatever they may be. Our approach encourages all the participants in our programmes to approach their learning with curiosity. The sessions are driven by an ethos of empathy, humour and common sense, with the interventions designed to turn the mundane into an adventure.

An adventure for the individual or for the organisation?
One size does not fit all because, whilst they may run in parallel, the context for individual vs organisational leadership development and the challenges that they present are not the same.
An adventure for the organisation
We support organisations to identify the essential skills and cultural mindset that will make the biggest difference to their leaders and managers and apply it at a systemic level. These skills may range from fully embedding coaching skills and improving the quality of decision making to helping people to hone the ability to influence and motivate colleagues (often where there is no direct authority) encouraging the organisation to embrace a principle led culture, versus relying on a traditional hierarchical approach.
In an increasingly agile and disruptive environment, new ways of thinking and working are required. Traditionally, leaders are sent on development days such as off-sites away-days, team bonding or building events. One ever present challenge for participants is that following these intensive experiences—which often will have created a change in their thinking —they return to the workplace and discover that no matter how good their intentions may be, they struggle to incorporate their experiences into improved behaviour and practices. At élan we facilitate individual and organisation-wide cultural transformation through inspired experiential learning which focuses on equipping every person with the tools they need to reach their full potential. This is then supported by an ongoing virtual continuous-learning programme that is led internally and supported by élan. This vastly reduces investment and develops a robust and self-organising environment.
élan facilitates one-to-one executive coaching as well as coaching for the many. People who receive coaching from élan coaches consistently describe the experience as “liberating”. This is because our approach is unique. Through in-person sessions as well as phone calls, we work with you to enable you to fulfil your potential and overcome your barriers to growth: breaking down your limiting beliefs, learning to trust your own intuition and developing your personal integrity— the certainty that you are being true to yourself.

Alongside our individual coaching sessions, we also invite coachees to engage in “one-to-many” coaching sessions, because exploring your emotions with others and discovering that your experiences are often shared and that you are not isolated is extremely powerful. These “one-to-many” sessions can be facilitated in collaboration with your place of work and by involving your team. You can also choose to attend one of our coaching retreats which provide life-altering coaching for small groups in awe-inspiring destinations around the globe.
